When I started Glacier Computing, a consulting and medical transcription company in 1991, the glimmer of how technology was about to transform the way medical practices operated captured my attention and energies. One of my first consulting contracts allowed me the opportunity to transform a five-location urgent care practice from manual billing of a single insurance carrier to multiple billing formats; including electronic submission to Blue Cross. I was hooked! I had found my niche - medical billing process improvement.

Although the processes from patient encounter to receiving payment have changed dramatically in 15 years, my personal commitment to returning maximum benefits to the practice, consistently and compliantly, has remained the same.

It has been my pleasure being a 'pioneer' in the medical billing industry in Alaska. The next 15 years also shimmer with opportunity and growth; for me, my clients, and most certainly my valued employees.
